Hello MH Residents and Enthusiasts,
This February the trend for a strong real estate market in Mountain House continues, with a total of 17 sales in just 28 days. Usually we see a quieter market in the winter, as buyers eagerly look for a off-season special. Here in Mountain House, as it is the case in many recovering Bay Area cities, we saw a competitive market with multiple offers on listings once again.
This month we saw sales from $315,000 for a two bedroom home to $525,000 for a 5 bedroom home, only one of which was a short sale. In addition, we did not see any sales of foreclosed homes this month. So it seems, the days of foreclosures and short sales in sharply declining in the 95391 zip code as we recover from the crash of the housing bubble.
This past month the average sale and median sale are almost identical at approximately a 4 bedroom home around 2100 square feet for $408,000 with the majority of the homes selling in under 1 week.
If you are currently a Mountain House resident and thinking about moving, perhaps back towards the Bay, we would highly recommend considering selling this year. As interest rates are rising, it is an optimum time to cash out on the equity gained in the past few years and relocate. If you have any questions, please reach out to us directly.
