Mountain House Rental Market
As a real estate professional I get this question a lot: How is the rental market in Mountain House? Many investors and homeowners seem shocked to hear that the rental market is hot! They consistently ask me, “Who would want to rent in Mountain House? I thought people only moved here because this is where they could afford to buy not rent.” This is an interesting response.
What I tell people is this, Mountain House is a desirable place to rent because of the affordability as well as good school system. Overall the entire Bay Area is very sought out for both rentals and buyers, so naturally people are pushed out further and further from their work places because of this competition. They end up looking in Mountain House although it might not have been their first choice place to live.
There are many people looking to rent in Mountain House. Our rentals will attract on average 20 interested parties in the first couple days. So while I say the rental market is hot, I mean there are many people looking to rent. However what I do not mean is that the rental market is so hot that you will get positive cash flow if you purchase today.
Currently three bedroom rentals around 1800 square feet are renting for about $2150/month and four bedrooms around 2000 square feet are renting for about $2300/month.
These are rough estimates and these figures will change based on condition, upgrades, backyard, pet policy, etc. If you are looking for an exact figure, please call us at (925) 605-6965 or (510) 917-2307.
